Nasco was started in 1941 by a vocational agricultural teacher, Norman Eckley. By developing several teaching aids to use in his vocational agriculture classes he answered the question of where to find instructional materials not readily available from any other source. This simple act of providing innovative solutions to classroom needs continues to drive what we do and has become a mission for the dedicated employees of Nasco. Growing from a simple operation in a two-car garage, Nasco has grown to an enterprise publishing over 35 different catalogs, with an annual circulation exceeding 5 million, to customers in education, agriculture, healthcare training, and lab sampling worldwide featuring materials available for a wide array of educational, training, and production needs.
